What’s happening with the Greenwood Appliance Repair Center in Charlotte

A few days after the city of Charlotte announced it would close its Greenwood appliance shop, the city has announced it will reopening the facility in the city’s northwest on Wednesday.

According to a news release issued by the Charlotte City Council on Tuesday, the new location will open at 7:30 a.m. and provide an array of service including repairs and repairs services, cleaning, and appliance maintenance.

The city of Greenwood is a part of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg-High Point Area.

The new location is located at the corner of Greenpoint Road and East Greenwood Avenue.

The City Council approved the reopening for the Greenlight Repair Center on June 29.

Greenwood has operated as a full-service appliance repair shop since it opened in 2016, according to a Charlotte Observer article.

The news release did not elaborate on the exact nature of the repairs or services the new facility will provide.

Greenwood, a nonprofit, is part of a group of nonprofit organizations called the Greenfield Community Foundation.

Its mission is to bring about a better world for Charlotte, the Charlotte Observer reported.

“The Greenwood repair center is part one of many that have helped to catalyze our efforts to bring green jobs to Charlotte,” the group said in a news statement.

Charlotte has been dealing with the impact of Hurricane Matthew and other natural disasters in recent years, including the wildfires that ravaged parts of the city in 2017 and the flooding that damaged neighborhoods in 2017.”

The Greenfield community is committed to continuing to work with the city and our partners to improve the lives of all of our residents and visitors in the region, and we look forward to providing our services to Charlotte residents for many years to come.”
